| Title: SH-2-223, SH2-224 and SH2-225 in Auriga By: Greg Beeke Telescope: Borg 100ED f/4 Filters: 6nm H-Alpha Camera: Yankee Robotics Trifid 2 6303 at -25 degrees Celsius Mount: Aim Controls EQ2 Guider: Atik 16IC Exposure: Ha=12x960s binned 2x2 Notes: These very faint nebulae can be found near Rho Auriga. To the North is SH-2-224 supernova remnant. To the right is SH2-223 supernova remnant and bottom left is SH2-225 bright nebula. At first sight it seems strange that two supernovae should occur in such close proximity. In fact SH2-223 is almost twice as far away from us than SH2-224 is. | SH-223-5 2007 12 10 Ha |
